Digital Divide Argument

In the communities many feel there is a large digital Divide. Some of the older members of the community are afraid of the new technologies, while the middle aged members are learning how to adapt to the new technologies, while the younger ones are growing up with the technology in hand. I feel there is other factors involved in it such as socio-economics and rural vs urban that also cause a divide. What do you think?
I read an article that gives some interesting thoughts it is at: http://www.usdla.org/html/journal/FEB02_Issue/article.html
Please give me your thoughts on this issue!!!!

Interesting. Will this digital divide always be there? When we are the "70 somethings"... will we be the generation that will not want to conform to the newest gadgets that will be available? Hmm... I guess time will tell.

After reviewing some research on the digital divide, it appears that the divide remains, but the reasons shift around. Will be interesting in another 10 years if the divide still exists and if it does, will it be new reasons or the same.
